Nothing to Give

I have shared this a few weeks ago on my facebook page (www.facebook.com/jasonbetler) but I wanted to also share this with the blogging community

A friend recently told me of a church in China that heard of a near-bye area that did not know Christ. They decided to take an offering to send someone to preach the gospel to the people in that area. As the collection plate was passed before the poor people in the congregation, many began to cry because they had nothing to give.

I have heard and witnessed similar accounts. It challenges us all. This world needs Jesus. There is no greater honor for humanity than to proclaim the marvelous message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Shame be upon us if we have not given all that we have. …so that we too might be able to fill the offering plate with our tears.
